The iPhone Habit App That Finally Got Me to Floss (and Work Out, and Actually Stick to It)
I’ve tried a dozen different ways to build better habits: bullet journals, printable calendars, accountability buddies, reminders on my bathroom mirror, you name it, I’ve tried it. But after almost a month with the Habit Tracker app for iPhone (by Davetech Co., Ltd.), I’m not just tracking habits, I’m actually following through.
This little app didn’t just help me organize my goals. It got me working out, flossing daily, and doing the kind of self-care I used to treat like optional bonus rounds. And the craziest part? I’m pumped to open it every day.

A Beautifully Simple Interface That Just Works
There are plenty of habit tracker apps out there and many of them cluttered with ads, awkward to use, or just plain ugly. Habit nails the design. It’s clean, fast, intuitive, and somehow makes crossing off a habit feel satisfying in a way that rivals checking something off a paper to-do list.
Want to track push-ups, water intake, or 30 minutes of reading? Just tap the plus button, name the habit, choose the days of the week you want to do it, and you’re off.

The real magic comes in the streaks. Habit shows your progress in a simple visual grid. Once I hit a 3-day streak on flossing, you better believe I wasn’t going to miss day 4. That sense of visual momentum makes this app more addictive than scrolling Instagram.

Flexibility Without Complexity
One of the reasons Habit works so well is that it lets you define success on your terms. You don’t need to log “30 minutes of cardio at 150 BPM.” You just mark a workout as done. Same for flossing, meditation, drinking water, journaling—whatever you’re building into your routine. You choose how a habit is measured and there are a TON of options to do so.
You can track dozens of habits or keep it simple. I started with three:
✅ Drink 80oz of Water
✅ Floss
✅ Journal
Within a couple of weeks, I added more. Now I’m up to 18 daily habits and, shockingly, still doing them all on most days.
Motivation Without the Guilt Trip
Unlike some goal apps that send nagging reminders or make you feel like a failure when you miss a day, Habit stays friendly and supportive. If you fall off for a couple of days, it doesn’t shame you. It quietly reminds you that consistency is the goal, not perfection.
That mindset shift to small wins over rigid discipline has made all the difference for me.
Also, you can track your mood over time and write a note daily. This really helps me zoom out and see that the bad days aren’t so frequent. If they were, that’s one more thing to work on. By analyzing what habits you’re completing each day you have a good vs bad day you can become even more motivated to do the things you need to do to live a happier life.

Final Thoughts: The Best Habit Tracker App on iPhone?
Honestly? For me, yes. I’ve never stuck with a habit app longer than two weeks. Habit has me tracking, building, and actually enjoying the process after a month and I’m not stopping anytime soon.
If you’re an entrepreneur like me, hacking productivity is a constant battle to do more with less time and build the habits you need to win. This app also helps me keep on top of my blog posts, social media, and other endeavors to make sure I’m doing the things I need to do to grow my businesses.
TL;DR:
✅ Simple, intuitive design
✅ Powerful visual streak tracking
✅ Flexible habit setup
✅ No ads, no guilt
✅ Gets you doing the thing, not just thinking about it
👉 If you’ve struggled with follow-through, this app might be the push your brain needs.
Search “Habit – Daily Tracker” on the App Store, and give it a shot. It’s free to start, it’s elegant, and it just might be the first step toward the version of you who works out and flosses. I did pay for the lifetime subscription which was about $12 and completely worth it.
If you’re looking for a great book about habits, the best I’ve ever read is Atomic Habits by James Clear. 👉 Check it out on Amazon.
